NEEE Utilizes Technology to Analyze Insurance Data and Drive Business Growth

Written by Christal Fleishman | November 1, 2018

New England Excess Exchange, Ltd. (NEEE), an independent wholesale broker and MGA based in Barre, VT is using technology to rapidly enhance the way Underwriters manage their work, and their sales efforts.

This summer NEEE implemented a new software program called Qlik Sense. Affectionately dubbed "Qlik", once implemented, Underwriters and administrative team members were able to view real-time reporting of their policies, target markets, agents, and more.

"We're passionate about giving our employees accessibility to their data so they can make quality underwriting decisions," says Goober Schaarschmidt, President of NEEE. "Qlik is just one of many tools we'll implement to streamline the way we do business, and increase efficient and accurate service levels."

The addition of Qlik is enhancing the way in which teams and individual employees understand their day-to-day work. The reporting module is available online, via mobile devices, and displayed on touch screen rolling monitors throughout the office.

"These new reports give me a visual understanding of where my team is striving, and where we can improve," says Ben Jones, Manager of Underwriting at NEEE. "I'm able to dig into our underwriting statistics and policies for each employee which has enhanced the way I communicate with my team."

NEEE anticipates increased participation in Qlik, and the addition of more connected technologies in Q4 of 2018. To learn more about NEEE and our insurance solutions for your Agency visit www.NEEE.com
